For years and years now i have collected Lewis memorabilia including autographed images (mostly i like to collect them when they come with an authenticity document) and these are just some that i have in my collection. I still collect Lewis memorabilia but wow...these autograph pieces have shot up in value since his death (which i know happens) but honestly some of his autographed material go for huge amounts including quite recently a hand written note which must have had three or four words written by Lew and then his signature. I stood by and watched it disappear infront of my eyes but here are just some of my pics which i am glad i bought previous to his passing.

They're lovely, I especially like the last one.

I only have one 'signed' photo - it was sent out by the studio around the time they were shooting series two - and the 'autographs' are facsimiles.

But I'm very fond of it anyway :0)

how lovely to even own a signed photograph. My first autographed picture was a post card of Lewis's and then i obtained another and so on but i do like them to be original but i do buy the prints also because there are some lovely ones out there though the prices have become more expensive but if i can then i will pay it. The signed note that recently went for sale on ebay ended with 11 bidders and some of those are private dealers who then resell the item for more profit.

There is a place for dealers, but they do ramp up the prices.

I love vintage jewellery and the prices of some of that on Ebay is ridiculous.

Thank you for sharing your treasures :0)

i agree, to buy them then resell them for a profit is the way it is but not as genuine as a fan owning them. I have seen vintage jewellery on ebay and yes the prices are very expensive.

You are very welcome.

I love that you have signed pieces that give you pleasure! I have a small number of signed MS programs, plus articles and photos, but I probably won't hunt for many more, and Martin has really clamped down on giving autographs because of the commercial hunters.

I wonder if some of the inflation is because people are subtly encouraged to souvenir hunt on the Facebook forums and other actor-specific places by a kind of "group vibe" - you aren't a proper fan unless you've spent a mint? Which sets my teeth on edge.

i have collected Lewis memorabilia for years now including some autographed pieces but it seems like everyone is cashing in on his passing (which hapoens i know that) but the private dealers seem intent on paying ridiculous amounts where i think these items would be more suited to his genuine fans.

How lovely that you have some Martin autographed pieces for you to enjoy. I will continue to collect Lewis's pics autographed or not to add to my collection.

It's wonderful that you have one signed by all three of them. I've seen one for sale recently and it was way out of my price range.

The second image of Lew is new to me, he looks really distinguished there. He aged very well.

yes some of these images are now being bought more and more by private dealers and the prices are very expensive.

This was a press photo for his film Who Dares Wins.

Thankyou for your interest in these images.
