Hee! I love this moment where Doyle sneaks up on snoozing Bodie. :D

Thank you!

I've always loved this interaction between the lads, and the matching jackets - off the same rack.

I'd love to know what time Doyle's watch actually says - but I can't make it out. One of the hands looks as if it might be on the five, but the sun seems higher in the sky than that.

Still, magic of television.

Perhaps it will always remain a mystery :0)

I noticed that too. I guess we'll always have to take the show's mention of times of the day with a pinch of salt. So many times what the characters say doesn't match what the real time of day looks to be. As in Backtrack when the lads are supposed to go collect Cowley at his flat in the early morning (Doyle yawning and commenting how early it is, when the sun was quite high actually, more like noon!), or when in First Night the lads investigate the helicopter theft and find the shoe lost by the Israeli official it's supposed to be evening but there's still plenty of light. I guess it was difficult with the tight filming schedule to always find the right moment and light conditions to fit the scene and script... :)

I'm not sure they even thought about it, it was the telly culture of the time.

The way Doyle could undergo major surgery without leaving a discernable mark on him.

Or the fact the lads never mention the figures from their past until they turn up. Some you might find credible - like Marikka - but why would Doyle never mention Syd?

I take a good deal of it with a pinch of salt, it's still marvellous!

Yes, I know what you mean. 70's TV series and their lack of story arcs encompassing several episodes, with old lovers or long-lost siblings turning up in a single episode, never to be seen again or never heard of before 😆
And yet I easily forgive these shortcomings, when we get such high quality series as Pros, no less charming, perhaps even more so :)

Ah wonderful moment!... Doyle can be a bit cruel at times: is that a way to wake up your lover partner like that, making him almost fall out of the car?! 😉
And I love Bodie's dozed expression there :) *pets him*

Thank you x

PS A similar exchange occurred in Killer with a Long Arm, with Doyle not so gently kicking hitting the sofa where Bodie is having a nap.
The nice thing is that Bodie never seems to resent these 'rude awakenings'! And he tends to be quite gentle when having to wake up Ray, like in First Night with Doyle sleeping on the floor... Having said that, Doyle awaking Bodie dozing on the hospital file cabinets in Rogue was very gentle, even going as far as holding hands with him 😆 in front of the doctor.

I'd also noticed that Bodie was much nicer at waking Doyle than the other way around. I assumed the kicking in Killer With A Long Arm was because Cowley was in the room, but there was no excuse for the rude awakening in Involvement. I've chosen to rationalise this as Doyle being wary because of past experiences with Bodie being more 'surprised SAS/ex-merc' and less 'sleepy dormouse' on unexpected awakening.

Good points :)

*bad Doyle* 😆

And there's also a bit of a rough awakening of Bodie in Stakeout, when he nods off sitting on a chair next to Doyle who is drinking coffee.
