You know, I've seen this episode a few times and I haven't liked it because Bodie is so shut off (from Doyle, from everyone) in it.

But something about this image made me think of it in terms of what's going on inside of Bodie's head - and I suddenly have a lot more empathy for him. He *is* in a lot of pain, and he's someone who would have no clue and thus no way to express that. So it's eating him up inside with no way for him to work through it - beyond going after the people who killed his comrade.

And he'd do it if it were Doyle - perhaps even more so.

Hmmm, all thinky. Maybe I'll go rewatch with that in mind...

Thanks for sharing!

That's a good analysis of what's going on with Bodie, here.

thankyou for looking . This is why i like this episode so much , the difference between Bodie and Doyle is so apparent and yes they aren't working together but i find this so intriuging because you can see quite visibly the pain that Bodie is going through and yet Doyle is completely unaware of the fact .Many thanks for your view on this and a rewatch is always a good thing .

This episode does feel slightly 'distant', to me, with the lads being at odds with each other. It's an interesting one though, in terms of pushing Bodie's character out of its/his comfort zone.

i love this episode for that very reason . Bodie is going through silent anguish and Doyle is so unaware of the fact which i like to see , not all the time but in this epiaode it just intrigues me to see how they each deal with the situation .

So much mental and physical tension going on here, so well captured here.
Thank you :)

yes he is going through so much pain and anguish and that's why i love this episode because for once they aren't united and it's so inriguing to see how they cope with the situation infront of them .

Erm, sorry to be so much more shallow than all you lovely folks who have previously commented, but my attention was drawn to the way that leather jacket pulls over broad shoulders and skims down over slim hips, just revealing a glimpse of buttock and muscular thigh *g*

hmmm i had noticed ..i never cease to take note but i also can see the pain that he's going through mentally hence the hunched shoulders and the head looking downwards but thanks for the reminder .

Lewis was a truly gifted actor. When you watch him you're never thinking "Lewis" but only "Bodie." Actually, that's pretty rare for TV of that period especially considering the lack of story arcs. So good is he that we weep for his sorrows and anguish (I have time and again.) But he is just so darn beautiful and sexy, what's a girl to do?

Lewis was just the best actor and is very very truly missed and i wish he was still with us . He was unique in every way and could turn his hand to anything be it comedy or action . I always look upon him as the best action actor because everything he did reminded me of BODIE .
