The lads being ....lads

*sighs* so happily .

I do love this image of them together in harmony and feel the need to see it again . I hope you don't mind but oh *sighs* again and again and again.

The show never really explains the guitar in Doyle's accommodation in (I think) 'The Rack'.

It'd be lovely to think of them jamming, or Bodie having left it when they spent a quiet evening together - maybe Bodie strumming and Doyle daubing.

They do look a bit belligerent here - as if we've disturbed their quiet time :0)

Lew's guitar
Lew wouldn't "strum", as he's playing a bass guitar. Martin would strum, as he's playing chords, and Lew would play a bass line ...

Re: Lew's guitar

Well to be fair, being a musical luddite, I was using 'strum' in its more metaphorical sense of 'play', but thank you for pointing that out.

'Cos the difference is lost on me - and I do like to hear from musical folk.

Don't s'pose you have any theories on the guitar in Doyle's pad?

Re: Lew's guitar
Sorry, no theories! But you notice when Bodie visits the flat of the air-hostess where there's a guitar, he picks it up and casually starts strumming chords ... That's simply because Lew could play many instruments!

Re: Lew's guitar

I always admire musical talent, they tried at school, but I simply have no talent for anything you can make a melody on.

I was always better at percussive things, I'm always a little bit in awe of people who know what they're doing with a musical instrument - I'm afraid in my case, practice led to frustration - and not always mine!

Re: Lew's guitar
fiorenza - don't blame yourself entirely - I have a degree in Music (piano and singing), and that's down to a bit of talent, a lot of hard work, and SUPERB TEACHERS! No matter what the potential, it will be as nothing unless you have the people to help you achieve it. I was lucky. Don't give up, pet... :o)

Re: Lew's guitar
PS - what's wrong with being a percussionist, drummer, rhythm-person? Don't denigrate it! Pulse, tempo and rhythm came before melody, after all... Don't put yourself down - look into it! And find someone who'll encourage you (apart from me, I mean). Go for it! Then let me know how it goes... 😁😚

Oh yes, thank you - I love this picture! They look so united and annoyed at being disturbed... deliciously grumpy, in fact, but in a very good way.

Looking grumpy
I'm not sure they're looking grumpy - simply concentrating... And if they were feeling grumpy, it could simply be at their down time being interrupted. I can see their point either way!

you are very welcome and many thanks to you for taking a look .

Just gorgeous - a lovely, layered portrait of them. They're not quite sure they want to be photographed because they were having such a good time. And I like to think Doyle is bumping the toe of his boot against Bodie - just to say 'it's OK, they'll be gone soon' :)

Thanks for sharing!

oh it would be wonderful to think that there was some leg touching going on and i think we shouldn't really be disturbing them but it's lovely to see so i'm thankful to the photographer for taking this picture . Thankyou so much for looking.

There's a definite 'piss off' vibe, isn't there, but not about each other - in fact, they look united, it's us on the other side of the camera who aren't very welcome *g*

there is a definite "do not disturb" vibe coming from them but it's lovely to see them playing their guitars together and i would love to think of some leg touching going on . Thankyou so much for looking.

Never far apart... indeed and barely any personal space *g*.
Look at MS/Ray's foot against Lew/Bodie's leg... Yes, they look a bit annoyed at being intruded upon their quality time together, but they still look gorgeous. I so wish ww could listen to their musical creations, though :)
Thank you x

it's lovelt to see them both sitting so close and i would love to think of them both leg touching even though they look like they don't want anyone near them . Thankyou so much for looking at this .

Love this pic - our lads against the world, including intruding photographers (though I'm glad the photographer was there... *g*) It reminds me of that gorgeous drawing by Lorraine Brevig, Interrupted...

i love this pic also and i would love to think of the leg touching but even though they don't look very happy to be disturbed i'm grateful to the photographer for taking this . Thankyou for your reply and for looking.
