It reminds me slightly of a favourite film, The Third Man.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean! Harry Lime lurking in the shadows... *g* Now I'm expecting the zither music to start up!

Actually, the lads talk about The Third Man in A Stirring of Dust, don't they (and the many charms of Alida Valli...) *g*

That's the scene! I've gone all shivery just thinking about it. And yes, they talked about the film in Stirring. Our lads have excellent taste.

That looks wonderful, so atmospheric!

Wouldn't JtR have looked so much better if it had been filmed in black and white!

i think i would have loved to have seen it set in both versions , i love the colour obviously but you are quite right regarding the atmosphere of the black and white ...glad you like it and thankyou for looking.

This really does look like a classic film shot! Based on this, I agree that JtR would have worked well in b&w.

Thank you! :D

yes i agree , the atmosphere would have been given another dimension though i do love to see Lew in colour. I haven't seen the film The Third Man though i'm guessing it's all dust and back alleys ..thankyou so much for looking and glad you like it .

Oh my... this image is so atmospheric and beautiful.
Makes you think of a 1930's or 40's noir or spy movie.
Wonderful! Thank you

yes it does have a sinister feel to it doesn't it but i think it suits him and the film really well, all back alleys and dust . Glad you like it and thankyou for looking.

Oh, count me in as another one who loves this pic - it's wonderfully film noir and atmospheric and just downright excellent in every way! Makes me wish it was all in b&w too, really *g* Thank you so much for posting it.

Thank you.. So glad you like it and I do love this film in colour for obvious reasons but the black and white sounds equally as good. Thank you for looking.
